The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for Telecommunicators (911 Dispatchers). Telecommunicators are responsible for dispatching law enforcement, fire and EMS providers to emergency and non-emergency calls for assistance. This career field is ideal for a person with excellent communication skills and the ability to work under stressful conditions. This is a part-time position with the possibility of becoming a full-time position. Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply.
Applicants must be U.S citizens, have a high school diploma and a clear background. Applicants must be able to pass a drug screen and have advanced computer knowledge.
Must be available to work any shift; as well as weekends and holidays when required.
